Jude v. 14-16 Outline:
- Jude 14
- Jude introduces us to a new character named __________________ who is attributed with a prophet message about the false leaders we looked at last week.
- Genesis 5:23-24 Enoch lived 365 years and he __________________ with God.
- He is said to have never died, but instead was taken by God like __________________ would be later in history. (2 Kings 2:1-14)
- Hebrews 11:5-6 tells us that Enoch was taken up by faith and without __________________ it is impossible for us to please God.
- Jude 15
- Enoch’s prophecy tells us that __________________ will come and He will execute judgement on all the ungodly.
- From reading Hebrews 1:3 and Revelation 3:21 we further see that Jesus is the member of the __________________ that will sit as judge over creation
- John 5:22-23 and 2 Corinthians 5:10 further talk of Jesus’ judgement over __________________ people, not just unbelievers.
- Adding these up with Romans 3:23 and 6:23 we know that all people have __________________ and earned death as a result.
- But the __________________ __________________ of God is eternal life through faith in Christ.
- And even that faith is a gift from God
- 2 Timothy 4:7-8, Hebrews 11:1. Ephesians 2:8-10, John 6:44-45, Romans 10:17
- __________________ will judge all men everywhere and their only hope is to be saved by Him. This leads us to a responsibility to __________________.
- Jude 16
- Jude adds a layer on those ungoldy leaders calling them
- __________________
- __________________
- Those are people who complain about ______________
- Not __________________ His will
- Not __________________ He is sovereign
- Being dissatisfied in __________________ leads us to take matters into our own hands.
- To do things our own way.
- And our own way leads to our __________________ in what we have accomplished on our own, apart from “god.”
- Finally then we do things to gain __________________ for ourselves
- Exploiting others for our __________________
- As 1 Thessalonians 5:11 reminds us: Therefore _______________ one another and _______________ one another up, just as you are doing.
