Reflection

Sunday Text: Jude verses 3-4

3 Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.

4 For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Discussion

Jude calls the audience ___________, which means they are loved by God forever!  Past, present, and future.

This speaks of the faith delivered to the ___________.  That describes one who is set apart, sanctified, made pure.

What comes to mind if you are unconditionally loved by God forever?

Did you know you are made pure in Christ?

Jude describes certain people who crept in.  What did they creep into?

What does it mean that they would pervert the grace of God?

Connection

Principle: Prioritizing the Word.

God has given us His Word – the Bible for: (2 Timothy 3:12-13)

“That the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”

How can your family contend for the truth of God’s word?

How can your family help others to be equipped for every good work?
