Zechariah & Elizabeth are blessed to being the first prophet in over 400 years to Israel – John the Baptist. He came to be the forerunning for Jesus the Messiah – all of this promised in the final words of the Old Testament some 400 years before. In these two we see obedience, faithfulness, and yet a measure of unbelief that we can all relate to as we sometimes feel as if God has forgotten us.
