Surely if he had known who was on his porch, the Innkeeper would have made room. Surely if he knew that the Messiah was to be born he would have opened his home to them. But he didn’t. God revealed His son to Mary, Joseph, shepherds, and a select few but the masses around Bethlehem that day and no idea what was happening right there among them. Why? Why is it that some see the Messiah and respond while others seem to never catch it?
